The Sharavathi river valley nestled in the central Western Ghats, Shimoga district has been an ecological paradise. The Sharavathi River, rising at Ambuthirtha in Thirthahalli taluk flows north-west and drops down in the Ghats at the world famous Jog falls. Sharavathi Valley got its own beauty to reveal, its home for many water falls, evergreen forest, also its home for many wild animals even our national favorite ‘Tiger’s’.
These nature lovers all the way from Chennai had an amazing time at Homestay at Gobbagodu overnight stay followed by next day 8 km adrenaline filled ascend and descend hike crossing rivers towards dense forest of Badalugunddi to encounter the beauty of Badalugunddi falls, (royal rumble with leeches is a filler)tiring day was refreshed by over night stay in the Island which is surrounded by water beds and lush greenery inside Muppanne Wild life santuary. The Final day started with a mild ascend to encounter the scenic beauty of Sharavathi backwater and its valley followed by swimming, kayakking, canoeing and coral ride at Island.
These guys were amazing very much cooperative to the norms we mandate and supportive too. Vinod, Bharath,Vimal, Bharani, Venkat ,Merin, Kalim, Vishal, Karthik1, Karthik2, Navneeth, Gulan, Shanmuga, Fendrick, Vignesh.. you guys really rock !!
